Philadelphia’s vibrant nightlife is a cornerstone of the city’s culture.
Rooftop bars, buzzing nightclubs, jazz clubs, James Beard-honored restaurants, legendary live music venues and world-class theaters bring the city to life after dark.
Ensuring these spaces remain welcoming, inclusive and safe is essential — and businesses play a crucial role in fostering that environment.
To support this mission, the City of Philadelphia has launched the Liberty Bell Safe Certification Program, a free initiative that equips businesses with best practices to enhance nighttime safety for both patrons and employees.
The program includes six training sessions covering essential topics including diversity, equity and inclusion; conflict resolution; and more.
Businesses that complete the training earn a Liberty Bell Safe Certification, demonstrating their commitment to public safety and a thriving, inclusive nightlife experience in Philadelphia.
