Philly gaat chic tijdens Philly Modeweek.

The annual fashion-forward celebration often features a number of design competitions and runway shows at locations throughout the city.

For 2023, residents and visitors can look forward to:

Next Up Studentenontwerpwedstrijd en trendshow in Fashion District Philadelphia

The up-and-coming generation of fashion icons show their stuff during the Next Up Student Design Competition & Trend Show, a free event taking place at Fashion District Philadelphia on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 5 p.m.

Studenten van Moore College of Art, Jefferson University, Drexel University, Harcum University en Albright College bieden hun nieuwste werk aan om kans te maken op een consult met modeprofessionals, plus een coole $1,000. Onder de modellen op de catwalk: overlevenden van borstkanker, in een poging om “schoonheid en bewustzijn te verspreiden”.”

Runway I en Runway II bij Live! Casino & Hotel

Het hoofdevenement van Philly Fashion Week 2023: twee runway shows in Live! Casino & Hotel in South Philly.

South Philly's Live! Casino & Hotel welcomes the much-anticipated events, which are set to include designs from contestants — both recent and upcoming — from Bravo’s Project Runway.

Startbaan I vindt plaats op zaterdag 4 maart 2023 van 19.00 tot 22.00 uur en toont werken van:

• Beste Laney
• Keizerlijke erfenis
• Hester Zonneschijn
• Modisch
• Atiya Joanne
• Dell Scott, and
• Khangle.

En Startbaan II keert terug naar Live! op zondag 5 maart 2023, ook van 19.00 tot 22.00 uur, met ontwerpen van:

• Oscar
• Christobal
• Kovid Kapoor
• Laurence Basse
• Sarah Tremain
• Verdict nog niet geveld
• Brenda O'Livis
• GeChic
• Khangle, and
• Bishme Cromartie.

Tickets voor elke show lopen van $43,62 voor algemene toegang tot $159,45 voor VIP Center, inclusief zitplaatsen op de eerste rij, toegang tot de VIP Lounge, een swag bag en drankjes.

Past participants have included YOWIE’s Shannon Maldonado, Philadelphia Eagles cornerback James Bradberry en Hustle director Jeremiah Zagar. This season, Honeysuckle Provisions’ Omar Tate & Cybille St.Aude-Tate have curated a collection of 25-plus items — all from Black-, Brown- and/or women-owned businesses.
