Performance offerings include large-scale works at the historic Academy of Music, intimate chamber operas in the Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and community performances, which focus on creative partnerships and enhanced accessibility.
A Professional Company Member of OPERA America with support provided by the Philadelphia Cultural Fund, the company brings some of the industry’s well-known and up-and-coming singers, composers, directors and conductors to the City of Brotherly Love for engaging productions of both traditional and new repertoire.

Each season, the company presents more than a half dozen dynamic performances with a repertoire that has included classics like Bizet’s Carmen and Puccini’s La Bohème and contemporary opera like the world premiere of We Shall Not Be Moved from Daniel Bernard Roumain, Marc Bamuthi Joseph & Bill T. Jones.
