Overview

Located on the Schuylkill River Banks, Paine’s Park is a public, riverfront oasis for skaters.

In development for more than a decade and opened in 2013, the mixed-use park is a fantastic outdoor space for skateboarders and visitors alike.

The spacious skatepark features approximately 30,000 square feet of rails, ledges, transitions and benches for skateboarders of all skill levels.

On-site seating and landscaping provide those on foot with a relaxing respite with stunning views of the Schuylkill River, Philadelphia Museum of Art and the city skyline.

The History

The skatepark features 30,000 square feet of rails, ledges, transitions and benches.

Skateboarding culture has deep roots in the city of Philadelphia, with LOVE Park serving as a controversial mecca for amateur and pro skaters before its 2018 redesign.

In 2002, Franklin’s Paine Skatepark Fund conceptualized Paine’s Park as a place to blend skateboarding, landscape architecture and city planning. Paine’s Park is one of an extensive series of skateparks throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.

Events & More

Throughout the year, Paine’s Park also hosts local food trucks and features special events including outdoor film screenings, live music and more.
