The RiverCity Festival offers a daylong outdoor fun fest overlooking the Delaware River and showcases all that the Fishtown neighborhood has to offer.
Guests can enjoy a lineup of live musical acts and shop away at local businesses and craft vendors that are on site selling their wares throughout the event.
The beer garden — a festival favorite — features a variety of craft beers, many provided by Philadelphia-area breweries.
Kids are sure to be entertained, too. Games and activities in past years have included a moon bounce, an inflatable obstacle course, magic shows and pet tent sponsored by local, animal-focused organizations.
The festival is free admission, with pay-as-you-go food, drinks and shopping.
Street parking is limited near Penn Treaty Park, but there are plenty of easy ways to get there.
Festival-goers can take SEPTA’s Market-Frankford subway line to Girard Avenue and Front Street; from there it’s a 10-minute walk to the fun. The #43 bus stops right at the park. Or, guests can hop on a bike and take advantage of the festival’s bicycle valet service.
