Overview

Located in a Kensington warehouse long known for its brewing roots, Philadelphia Brewing Company produces some of the city’s favorite microbrews.

In fact, a Philadelphia bar without a PBC brew on tap is a rare find.

PBC’s four hand-crafted ales — the Kenzinger, Newbold IPA, Rowhouse Red and Walt Wit — are commendable for both their imaginative tastes and their homages to Philadelphia.

The Experience

The Walt Wit is a two-part salute to former resident Walt Whitman and “Whiz wit,” every Philadelphian’s favorite way to order a cheesesteak.

As for taste? A pinch of spice and a whisper of citrus lend complexity to this fragrant, satisfying ale, making it a true Philadelphia favorite.

You can visit the Brewery for a guided tours and a few sudsy sips.

Can’t make it? Just pull up a stool at just about any Philadelphia bar and ask your friendly barkeep for a classic Kenzinger on draft.
