Philadelphia is scattered with Irish pubs ready to hang scarves next to shamrocks in honor of FIFA World Cup 26. At Fadó Irish Pub, every goal feels bigger when you’re saddled up at the wood-paneled bar, which delivers cozy Irish cottage vibes amid comfy private snugs.

Este Centro de la ciudad stalwart — yes, it’s a national chain, but the atmosphere feels native — opens as early as 7 a.m. for early-morning matches and, sometimes, closes down the 1500 block of Locust Street for a can’t-miss block party.

Other traditional Irish pubs serving up proper pints and terrace chants include:

  • Taberna New Deck: Esto University City institution has a draft beer system imported from Cork County, Ireland. On Friday, June 19, 2026, New Deck alberga el Heineken World Cup Watch Party when Team USA battles Australia in a Group D match.
  • McGillin's Olde Ale House: As the oldest continuously operating bar in Philly, and one of the oldest taverns in the country, McGillin's plans to break out the projector screen for all the World Cup action. Look for the $17.76 meal deal: 8-ounce burger, fries, beer.
  • The Black Taxi: Located in Fairmount, this is one of the best spots to toast the Eagles after a Super Bowl. The Black Taxi plans to show World Cup matches with the sound on while pouring proper pints of Guinness. Céad míle fáilte.
  • O’Neal’s Pub: Exposed brick sets the mood at this favorite haunt on South Street. Famed for its dart league, O’Neal’s Pub regularly has soccer games on the big screens and a scratch kitchen that stays open until 1 a.m.
  • Tír na nÓg: All bets are off at this exceedingly authentic Irish pub that stocks at least 70 whiskies and 20 draft beers. Here, Harp and Guinness pints get slung across a mahogany bar made with recycled wood exported from Ireland.

”I don’t necessarily see Tír na nÓg as a business but as an extension of my home,” says Bill Boyle, manager at Tír na nÓg. “I want people to come in, enjoy a couple of pints, watch sports, connect with others and feel comfortable, the same as they do in any pub in Ireland.”

The Dive Bar Experience

Let’s start in Fairmount. La sala verde, home of the Jameson Mint Julep, makes a habit of turning the corner of 19th and Green streets into a dive-y wonderland.

With a cratered history dating back to 1919, nostalgia runs high here. The pool table is serious business and the jukebox is always on.

The Green Room promises every World Cup match live-streamed, which makes sense considering how hard the cash-only bar leans into celebratory events like Eagles’ Super Bowls and Phillies no-hitters — oh, just in case, there is an ATM on premises.

Here are a few more dive bars where cash is king and sports reign:

  • Krupa’s Tavern: This one-time speakeasy (from the Al Capone days at Eastern State Penitentiary) continues to set the no-frills standard for dive bars. Ask for a cold Yuengling and reach into the crock pot for complimentary comfort food.
  • Locust Rendezvous: “The Vous” is Philly’s answer to Cheers. With 11 TVs and a killer French onion soup, this is a great spot to catch “Les Bleus.” Pro tip: The bar is located near SEPTA’s B (Broad Street) subway line for those taking the subway to the stadium.
  • Billy Murphy’s Irish Saloon: Located in suburban-feeling Cataratas del Este, Billy Murphy’s “Saloonery” never tries to be something it’s not — especially in the food department. Try the Turf Burger or Von Hayes Cheesesteak while rooting on your favorite side.
  • Paddy’s Pub: The bar that inspired Siempre hace sol en Filadelfia — Rob McElhenney was a regular here before hitting Hollywood — might be the diviest dive in Philly. Stroll in from the cobbles, meet a stray bagpiper and leave with a souvenir shirt.

The South Philly Sports Complex Experience

En South Philly Complejo deportivo is your “Eureka Moment” — or your first taste of Philly’s tailgating scene, which just may get you some national buzz (ready to go viral?) if the ESPN cameras are on.

Fresh off its $20 million expansion, ¡En vivo desde Estados Unidos! features multiple venues in one, including the new AVA Rooftop Bar (think: sunset cocktails and DJ-driven sets), plus the Coors Light Stage, PBR Backyard, Blue Moon Beer Garden and Stateside Crush Bar.

Book it: Stateside Live! offers experiencias antes y después del partido with varying levels of hospitality exclusive to ticketholders.

For similar experiences near the Linc, check out these places:

  • Philadium: Come for Martini Mondays. Stay for the people watching. Everyone who is anyone, from FOX29’s Mike Jerrick to Eagles great Jason Kelce, has stamped their rager passport at this boisterous South Philly bar that gives off row-home vibes.
  • Chickie's & Pete's: Sitting a stone’s throw from the Linc, you can hear the cheers from the pitch while you chow down on a heaping plate of Crab Fries. Chickie's & Pete's is routinely nominated for Best Sports Bar in Philly, with multiple locations to choose from.
  • Garage Passyunk: Dedicated to canned beers and good times, this garage-style bar (with numerous addresses) previewed what they can do during the Winter Olympics. Garage plans to have the TV sound on and the volume up for all 104 World Cup matches.
  • Sports & Social at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia: Featuring a massive 52-inch LED media wall, accented by 26 flat-screen TVs and a sports betting lounge, Sports & Social can feel telepathic amid the sounds of jackpots going off and coins bouncing in the casino.

The Soccer Hooligan Experience

Brauhaus Schmitz, the city’s self-proclaimed “Summer Football Headquarters,” never pretends or disappoints on the world stage. From midnight matches that spill into the wee hours to block parties giving Oktoberfest feels, this German beer hall brings packed Haus energy.

With a dizzying selection of Bavarian beers — 34 rotating drafts, plus German comfort foods like schnitzel y laugenbrezel — Brauhaus Schmitz is Philly’s 12th man. It’s shutting down the 700 block of Calle Sur para five raucous watch parties, with jumbo screens filling up the street on the following dates: June 25, June 27, July 3, July 4 and July 19, 2026.

“If there are three things Brauhaus knows best, it’s soccer, big events and beer — and this summer is the perfect combination of all three happening right here in our incredible city,” says Doug Hager, owner of Brauhaus Schmitz. “We’re excited, honored and ready to help showcase the passion, energy and hospitality that Philadelphia brings to the global soccer community.”

Also, check out these soccer-obsessed bars and restaurants:

  • Misconduct Tavern:  With two nautical-themed bars to choose from — one in Center City, another in Logan Square - Taberna de mala conducta welcomes soccer hooligans in to enjoy catfish bites and buckets of beer while scanning all the matches playing on 12 TVs.
  • Founding Fathers: Check the tape at this crazed haven on South Street for in-the-know fans looking for an electric atmosphere that feels like being in the stadium. Padres fundadores was an early adopter of the special permit allowing them to stay open until 4 a.m. this summer.
  • City Tap House: Walk into this trendy Logan Square bar and get transfixed by its 15-foot TV wall. City Tap House plans to showcase every FIFA World Cup 26 match, highlighted by marquee events like a Modelo World Cup Party (July 20, 2026) and a Guinness glass engraving event (July 4, 2026).
  • Hilltown Tavern Fairmount: Sunday Fundays are a way of life at this convivial tavern in Fairmount. Known for English Premier League meet-ups, Hilltown Tavern plans to show FIFA World Cup 26 games amid Citywide specials.

The Brewery Experience

Yards Brewing Company fancies itself as Philadelphia’s brewery, growing from a beloved garage brewery in Manayunk to a 70,000-square-foot facility at 5th and Spring Garden streets in Northern Liberties.

Yards is a place where community and sports intersect, as evidenced by their partnerships with athletes like Kyle Schwarber and Connor Barwin.

With dozens of flat screens turned up loud and 20 housemade beers pouring generously from the taps, including (the very Philly) Trash Talk IPA, this taproom knows how to party. Bring your lucky match-day scarf and hunker down at the center bar.

Read on for breweries (see: Philly Pub Cup) proudly pouring local suds and game-day vibes:

  • Victory Brewing Company: The views from Victory’s rooftop are enough to make you forget about your favorite side losing. Well, that may depend on the individual. What we do know is there are no bad seats inside this 14,000-square-foot space at 1776 Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Also: Make sure to grab a Philly Primero.
  • Human Robot Brewery: Come for the Milktube. Stay for the World Cup. Robot humano, with multiple locations including its newest one on Girard Avenue in Brewerytown, kicks it old school by pouring traditional Czech lagers and German pilsners, adding a touch of flair in the form of vintage-style fùtbol shirts.
  • Two Locals Brewing: Philadelphia’s first Black-owned brewery deftly weaves inclusivity and passion into a jaunty joint that just feels like a chill time out. The Philly World Cup Fan Zone, setting up on The Lawn in University City, hosts live screenings for all six matches at the Linc.
  • Love City Brewing: Now pouring beer out of two brewpubs after its Manayunk spot opened in May 2026, Love City invites the world into its warehouse-style brewery for live viewings, food trucks and the first sips of Love City Lager, a limited-edition can with a Semiquincentennial label. Save the date: There’s a watch party at its Callowhill location with Street FC (June 14, 2026).

The Hometown Experience

En Unión de Filadelfia host their free Soccer Celebration at Union Yards throughout the 39-day tournament. Look for a Fan Activation Zone and “Flavors of the Matchday,” a rotating menu of authentic dishes inspired by the countries taking the pitch.

Remember, Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) is using Subaru Park and the Union training facilities as its home base. They face Ecuador (June 14, 2026) and Curaçao (June 25, 2026) at the Linc.

Bonus: Union homegrowns Matt Freese, Mark McKenzie, Auston Trusty and Brendan Aaronson have been named to the U.S. Men’s National Team roster. Adding intrigue, Union midfielder Danley Jean Jacques was chosen for the Haiti Men’s National Team.

Outside of the stadium experience, several supporters’ bars around Philadelphia plan to turn up the home-field advantage by showing live World Cup matches:

  • Jose Pistola’s: Best known for its tongue-in-cheek “Chalk of Fame” — Eagles GM Howie Roseman hand-signed his calcite likeness — this cheery craft beer bar in Center City pulls out all the stops for Premier League and World Cup matches.
  • Cometa y llave: Located within walking distance to the Escalones rocosos and Lemon Hill, this convivial pub in Fairmount promises a pep rally feel during World Cup action, plus the superstitious energy everyone is accustomed to for Phillies games.
  • Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse: A stalwart on the Philly sports bar circuit, Rittenhouse, de Cavanaugh is serving as headquarters for Crawl for the Cup, an expansive soccer-themed pub crawl featuring more than 20 local restaurants. Cavanaugh’s Headhouse is showing live matches, too.
  • Good Good Things Bar: This is the rowdy corner bar where last night’s prediction turned into the final score. Good Good Things, a home base for West Ham supporters, plans to show all FIFA World Cup 26 games amid a tempting brunch menu — how about chicken and waffles or huevos rancheros? — that lures you in.

Discerning soccer fans want substance behind every free kick, poetry in motion on each tap and cross, and a clean sheet over a hooligan-fueled bacchanalia.

The Match Room (inside the Four Seasons Hotel Filadelfia en el Comcast Center) transforms the hotel’s 59th floor into a pop-up sports lounge in the clouds. Upscale and chic, Bethenny Frankel’s favorite hotel brings clear sightlines and big-screen TVs along with shareable snacks and World Cup-themed cocktails. Rent a private space or walk in off the street.

“The energy of The Match Room is unmatched!” says Milanee Benaouadj, Director of Catering at the Four Seasons. “The LED screen installation transforms the space, surrounding guests with the excitement of live match play and bringing every moment to life through a seamless, cinematic display.”

Other elevated experiences during the tournament include:

  • Sunset Social at Cira Green: This spectacular oasis urbano on the 12th floor, atop a 1.2-acre lawn on the Cira Centre South Parking Garage, gained a cult following for its Wednesday Movie Nights. Now, it plans to hold a Ghana Watch Party on June 23, 2026.
  • Topside Tavern: One of Center City’s favorite brunch spots plans to show live matches at its free-flowing downstairs bar, with the rooftop patio serving as the post-game party spot. Cue up the jukebox and jam out after your squad survives 90 minutes.
  • Bok Bar: This former high school turned innovation hub, with a spectacular skyline view 130 feet up, is set to host multiple viewing parties on its rooftop. Also, Bar Bok teams with Klip Collective, a leader in futuristic sound and visual experiences, on a yet-unannounced activation, in addition to showing all six Philly matches plus the semifinals and finals.
  • FringeBar: Summering on the Paseo marítimo del río Delaware? FringeBar, in conjunction with FringeArts, is broadcasting a bevy of live matches inside its 300-seat theater. Confirmed dates include June 11, June 16, June 18, June 19, June 22, June 24, June 25 and June 27, 2026.

“We expect guests to feel the electric energy that Philly always brings to every sporting event!” says chef-partner Kenneth Bush at FringeBar. “Anticipate food and drink specials, and even a DJ at some games keeping the party going.”

The Cultural Experience

The best part of being a host city is connecting with soccer fans. From immersing in cultural experiences through food to knowing how to navigate the Festival de aficionados de la FIFA, the details matter.

En Africatown, where Philly’s biggest African diaspora resides, they’ll carry the torch for Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Curaçao and Haiti. The neighborhood is hosting free watch parties along 55th Street, set to coincide with the Festival ODUNDE. Plan on seeing bites from restaurants like African Small Pot, Jam-Rock and Kilmindjaro.

En Chinatown, Bar deportivo Lion shows every minute of every match from 33 screens. The buzzy bar — located near the Centro de Convenciones de Pensilvania — hosts a French-themed watch party, in partnership with La Federación Francesa de Fútbol, ahead of France vs. Iraq (June 22, 2026), with next-door ramen shop Yamitsuki serving as overflow for a massive World Cup Watch Party that includes an open bar and an unlimited (!) buffet.

“Lion Sports Bar is going to be the craziest place to watch the World Cup,” says Mark Prinzinger, partner at Lion. “We welcome fans from all over the world to enjoy one of our World Cup-themed cocktails, like the Messi Margarita or Neymar Caipirinha.”

Here are other formidable melting pots for international soccer fans:

  • The Good King Tavern: Este French bistro en Queen Village might be the low-key best spot to watch Les Bleus compete for the trophy. Of course, you’ll have to come early and hope to catch a glimpse on the restaurant’s lone flat-screen TV.
  • Ipanema Sports Bar and Grill: Brazil is always in contention for the trophy, and this chill spot en Northeast Philly sets a championship scene. Grab feijoada (a rich meat stew that just so happens to be the national dish of Brazil) and cheer on the bright yellow shirts.
  • Era Bar and Restaurant: Era is the little dive bar that could. Nestled snugly in Brewerytown, it’s a cultural fairyland filled with regulars watching sports on TVs … over plates of injera, tibs y wats while downing Lionshead beers.
