No one is more deserving of a celebration in 2021 than moms — and Philly is les place to do it. After all, Philadelphia is where Mother’s Day was founded.

The region’s attractions, restaurants and parks have a host of ways to honor the people who’ve spent the last year doing it all. Find handmade goods from small businesses at marchés pop-up, attend an outdoor opera performance, stare in wonder at a stunning fountain display or learn how to make a new cocktail.

And most importantly, skip the cooking and cleanup. Citrus-ricotta pancakes, crab cake benedict, juicy steaks and bottomless mimosas await at restaurants pulling out all the stops for the No. 1 moms, grandmoms, bubbes, aunties and fur moms.

For the ultimate, can’t-be-topped Mother’s Day gift, enter the Visit Philadelphia City of Motherly Love Giveaway and extend the celebration beyond a single day. The grand prize in this amazing package? An overnight hotel stay in the heart of Center City, a spa service, a fine dining experience and a perks-packed visit to the Exposition de fleurs de Philadelphie that includes transportation to and from the event on the Reading Terminal Market Flower Phlash — all valued at nearly $1,000! Participez dès maintenant et jusqu'au 16 mai 2021 pour la chance de célébrer maman comme elle l'a fait vraiment deserves to be celebrated.

Of course, exploring Philadelphia is a bit different these days. Restaurant reservations are strongly encouraged, if not required, and many attractions required timed ticket purchases in advance to help meet safe capacity limits. Your best bet: Plan ahead. Call each restaurant or attraction, or visit their websites, to understand their health & safety guidelines and read more about Greater Philadelphia and COVID-19 ici.
