Allie Volpe

They say Philly is the greatest city in the world, and by they, I mean me. Born and raised in South Jersey, and now based in Brewerytown, I’ve never lived anywhere where people didn’t root for the Eagles. 

I’m a journalist with bylines in Vox, Le New York Times, Le Washington Post, Rolling Stone and more. I’m the author of a forthcoming book about friendship. At Visit Philadelphia, I research, write and fact-check articles about events and entertainment in Philly.

My other qualifications include having the same birthday as Beyoncé and never turning down karaoke. I’m also a triathlete and cookie enthusiast (eating them, mostly).
