Two pieces of awesome news for Philly’s bagel lovers: The doughy goodness at Philly Style Bagels makes the list of best bagels in the country et the Fishtown shop is expanding to Old City.
Vins et gastronomie released its Best Bagels in America list in early March and of course Philly Style Bagels is on there.
The shop, which started as a pop up inside the original Pizzeria Beddia location, has been serving its wood-fired beer-based bagels from a tiny shop overlooking Palmer Park since 2016.
After closing temporarily in late January, Philly Style Bagels annoncé over the weekend that the Fishtown location will reopen this week. Pro tip: Since the shop is carryout only, the park is the perfect spot for a picnic.
Plus, the team is expanding to a second location in Old City.
