2026-2027 Roster: What to Expect

Quarterback Jalen Hurts set the tone when he dropped the 2026 motto: “100% alignment and zero entitlement.” That means check your ego at the door.

Hurts leads an offense oozing with talent. His chemistry with top wide receiver DeVonta Smith and star tight end Dallas Goedert is undeniable, emboldened by newcomers Makai Lemon and Dontayvion Wicks. 

Running back Saquon Barkley heads up an explosive backfield with right tackle (and future Hall of Fame prospect) Lane Johnson returning to anchor one of the NFL’s best offensive lines. Watch out for left tackle Jordan Mailata (a Visit Philadelphia favorite) clearing the lane. 

Linebacker Zack Baun paces the defense with non-stop energy. Defensive tackles Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis wall off the middle while speedy pass rushers Nolan Smith Jr. and Jalyx Hunt stalk quarterbacks off the edge. Cornerback Quinyon Mitchell helps shut down passes, with hybrid safety Cooper DeJean covering the rest.

Expectations? High. They always are in this town. 

A Complete Guide to Lincoln Financial Field

The Philadelphia Eagles’ home base, Lincoln Financial Field — known to locals as the Linc — opened to the public in 2003. Sporting refreshed infrastructure for 2026, the Eagles’ nest is one of the most technologically sophisticated and eco-friendly stadiums in the NFL.

The stadium holds nearly 70,000 fans, featuring extra-wide concourses, two massive Panasonic video boards in each end zone and another 1,200 LED screens. It also houses over 300 concession stands, with more than 170 luxury and club suites.

Sustainability-wise, the stadium features over 10,000 solar panels and holds an elite LEED Platinum certification from the Green Building Council. 

What Can I Expect on Game Day?

Game day is a bucket-list scene, especially if it’s a huge rivalry like Eagles vs. Cowboys or Eagles vs. Giants. Need convincing? In 2026, Philly was voted the Beste NFL-stad in de VS.

Wander around Pepsi Plaza and the Miller Lite Tailgate Zone. This popular fan area is filled with activation tents  — look for photo ops with Duik en Lincoln! — along with ever-changing mural walls created by talented local artists. 

Take a selfie at the “Philly Special” statue (near Lot K), which shows Nick Foles asking Doug Pederson if he should run the one of the most fabled plays in Eagles’ history. 

Shop Eagles gear at the Eagles Pro Shop (inside Pepsi Plaza). The Eagles’ ticket office, plus the members-only Red Zone Lounge and Red Zone Suites, are located nearby.

Let’s cut to the chase: You won’t have any problem finding a cheesesteak. Look for venerable stands like Philip’s Cheesesteaks and Philly Cheesesteak Co. 

Or, opt for the new South Philly Special Cheesesteak, featuring shaved ribeye, caramelized onions and Cooper sharp on a seeded Amoroso roll (Sections 126, 129, 138).

The Eagles announced a multi-year partnership with Kraft Heinz for 2026, infusing bold flavors on these four new items: 

• Kool-Aid Glazed Chicken Wings, featuring celery sticks, blue cheese and ranch dressing
• Cheesesteak Spring Rolls, featuring Heinz “banana pepper” ketchup
• Philly Pretzel Factory Rivets, featuring Philadelphia cream cheese bacon jalapeño dip
• Big Mozz Nuggets, featuring parmesan cheese and Classico marinara sauce

Aramark Sports + Entertainment — the food and beverage provider for concessions — debuted new football-inspired delicacies for fans:

• Broad Street Beast: This 18-inch chalupa shell is loaded with braised wagyu beef shank, fried jalapeño peppers, tomatillo avocado salsa, Oaxaca queso, crispy shallots and cilantro (Section 113). Note: It’s big. Like, bigger than your head! 
• Tush Push Tater: This deep-fried russet potato gets topped with fried chicken cutlet, pimento macaroni and cheese, bacon hot honey jam, 215 sauce and scallions (East and West Club Markets). 
• Smoked BBQ Chicken Nachos: These traditional-ish nachos feature tortilla chips topped with smoked chicken (smoked in-house) that gets tossed in caramelized honey BBQ sauce, roasted poblano queso, black beans, charred corn relish, mango pico, Mexican crema and scallions (Sections 120, 216).

How Can I Get to a Game?

Lincoln Financial Field is accessible from I-95 (Exit 17 or Exit 19) and I-76 (Exit 349 or Exit 350). Click hier for details on traffic patterns and specific routes.

De South Philly Sportcomplex has over 21,000 parking spots, including 2,000 spaces at the Linc. These are separated into 12 public lots and six reserved spaces, including two accessible drop-off zones: Lot L and Lot J. Lots open 4.5 hours prior to kickoff. 

The quickest way is public transportation. Take SEPTA’s B (Broad Street subway line). Exit at NRG-station, the last southbound stop. Get there fast with SEPTA’s Sports Express trains, which run every 10 minutes.

Taking an Uber or Lyft? The stadium has two ride-share zones for arrivals: Darien Street in Lot L, 11th Street in Lot J. Lot T serves as the main departure zone.

What Can I Bring Into the Stadium?

Clear plastic bags (that don’t exceed 12’’ x 6’’ x 12”), small clutch bags (not larger than 4.5’’ x 6.5’’) and diaper bags are permitted. Exceptions are offered for medically necessary items. Contact fan services for more info. 

Outside food is allowed, but only if it’s wrapped in clear plastic. Sunscreen, signs and empty plastic water bottles are also permitted. 

Prohibited items include aerosol cans, vapes, laser pointers, whistles and noisemakers, umbrellas and selfie sticks, plus all liquids and alcoholic beverages, among other things. 

What Is the Screening Process?

Lines form early outside the gates. Look for green flares being shot over the stadium.

The North Gate is the stadium’s designated ADA entrance, and the East Club and Hyundai Club gates are reserved for suite members and fans with disabilities. 

Lincoln Financial Field uses contactless screening, so no need to remove belts or empty pockets. Make sure to pull up your mobile ticket so the rotating barcode can be scanned.

What Should I Wear?

Since the Linc is an open-air stadium, be ready for inclement weather, including rain, sleet and snow. Dress appropriately. Seasonal forecasts vary. 

• September & October: It’ll still be warm, so ditch the thermals underneath your Mitchell & Ness throwback. Wear a Super Bowl champion t-shirt, but pack a Kelly Green windbreaker or Ocean Drive beach hoodie, just in case. Sunglasses are a must. Pro tip: Pack sunscreen. 
• November: Crewneck sweatshirts and chenille hoodies are the norm, usually layered underneath your favorite Eagles jersey. Temperatures can dip into the 30s or 40s, so keep a knit beanie in your back pocket. Extra style points for pom poms!
• December & January: Bundle up and Go Birds! Some of the franchise’s most iconic moments have occurred under blizzard conditions (see: Eagles-Rams in January 2025). Dust off the Princess Diana quilted varsity jacket and sherpa trapper cap, break out the hand warmers and gloves, and keep an eye out for people in velvet Santa suits. 

How Do I Tailgate Like a Local? 

What’s a tailgate? Imagine a cookout turned up to the max. You’ll see fans dressed in bizarre costumes, amid a sea of green, as groups randomly yell “E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles!” 

The seasons dictate the food menus, too. (Don’t be surprised to see people deep-frying turkeys during the holidays.) Others include chili cook-offs, pig roasts, cheesesteaks and more.

Tailgate lots open at 6 a.m. for 1 p.m. kickoffs, or seven hours prior. Designated tailgate areas include Lots E, F, J, K, L, M and N, plus the FDR Lot. Always check de officiële website before you go, as stadium policies can change.

Where Can I Get Game Day Gear?

Eagles Pro Shop, inside Pepsi Plaza, is open regularly, but you must have a ticket for entry on game days. There are numerous merch stalls inside the stadium.

History of the Philadelphia Eagles 

Proud City, Proud Franchise

The Eagles are perennial contenders, soaring to new heights under current owner Jeffrey Lurie. 

They boast five NFC championships and 14 NFC East titles, along with 32 postseason appearances since 1947, winning 21 playoff games since Lurie bought the team in 1994. 

The seeds of success were first sowed under coach Earle “Greasy” Neale, who guided the Eagles to back-to-back NFL championships in 1948 and 1949. Hall of Fame running back Steve Van Buren paved the way for future rushing greats like LeSean McCoy, Brian Westbrook and Wilbert Montgomery.

Fast forward to 1960. Chuck Bednarik stopped Jim Taylor as time expired to secure the team’s third championship.

The Eagles turned to Dick Vermeil in 1976. He got the franchise to its first Super Bowl in 1981 while winning over fans with his heart-on-his-sleeve press conferences. His decision to hold an open tryout launched the legend of Vince Papale, whose unlikely story inspired the 2006 film Onoverwinnelijk. 

Enter the Buddy Ryan era. From 1986 to 1991, head coach Buddy Ryan unleashed generational pass rushers like Reggie White and Jerome Brown. Despite not winning a playoff game, the 1991 Eagles’ defense is one of the greatest defensive units in history. 

One of the Eagles’ most iconic players, star quarterback Randall Cunningham supplied the offensive highlights from 1985 to 1995. He redefined the quarterback position, combining raw speed and athleticism (see: this leaping touchdown) with awe-inspiring arm strength (see: this 95-yard bomb). 

The Andy Reid Era

The Eagles hired head coach Andy Reid in 1999. He guided the Eagles to a 140-102-1 record from 1999 to 2012 while taking them to five conference championships and one Super Bowl.

While Reid never won the big one with the Eagles, he mentored some of the franchise’s greatest players over 14 seasons, including Donovan McNabb, Nick Foles, Jason Kelce, Brian Dawkins, Brandon Graham, Brian Westbrook, Jeremiah Trotter and Terrell Owens. 

Super Bowl Champions to Today

The Eagles would wait 58 years to hoist their first Lombardi Trophy, beating the New England Patriots in 2018 for the franchise’s first title in the Super Bowl era. 

Nick Foles earned Super Bowl MVP honors that year — under head coach Doug Pederson — after out-duelling Tom Brady in one of the greatest games ever played.

Seven years later, Jalen Hurts brought the trophy back home after upsetting the Kansas City Chiefs — and Hurts was named Super Bowl MVP. 

Head coach Nick Sirianni continues to stroll the Eagles’ sideline. He holds a 59-26 record, going 6-4 in the postseason (including two Super Bowl berths and one win).
