Parks on Tap wraps up its run at Stephen Girard Park (September 30 to October 4, 2026), with the final stop heading to Columbus Square Park (October 7-11, 2026).

De Arden Theatre Company opent haar seizoen 2026-27 met een jukeboxmusical waarin de iconische muziek van Bob Dylan centraal staat in Meisje uit het noorden.

Set in Duluth, Minnesota during the Great Depression, the story centers on strangers who meet at a boarding house and channel their hope for the future by performing music.

After a historically early September season opener, the orange and black hit the ice with the season already in stride this October.

Head up to Northwest Philly’s Roxborough neighborhood to join in the 14th annual Roxtoberfest free street festival.

Hit the hills for a massive celebration along Ridge Avenue that typically features German-themed entertainment and competitions, food trucks, live music, costumed pets, activities for the kids and plenty of beer for the adults, plus over 100 local crafters, artists, makers and community organizations.

De Revolutionair Germantown Festival marks the anniversary of the devastating October 4, 1777 loss that George Washington and the Continental Army suffered before retreating to Valley Forge for the winter. 

Centered at historic Cliveden — the actual location of the battle — the daylong event features historians and activities channeling the spirit of that day. Visitors can even see the battle scars still visible in the building where British soldiers took aim at soldiers fighting for freedom from the crown.

Sailing enthusiasts can also keep the celebration going by purchasing a ticket to the evening reception at the Independence Seaport Museum.

This October marks 10 years since the Made in Philadelphia-markt became a beloved regular addition to Dilworth Park.

Expect dozens of artisans across the open-air marketplace selling handmade crafts, jewelry, treats and more from wooden booths, along with vendors offering tasty bites and warm sips.

The setting of Bess Wohl’s memory play switches from 1970s Ohio to the present day, giving the audience an intimate look at the power of women gathering to lean on each other and join forces to create better lives for future generations.

Philly viert niet alleen in juni Pride. Sinds 1990 organiseert de stad elk jaar in oktober de jaarlijkse OURfest (which stands for “Our Uniting Resilience Festival”) to celebrate National Coming Out Day (NCOD).

Lang voordat Europese kolonisten het een andere naam gaven, Penn Treaty Park on the Delaware River (also known as Shackamaxon) was an important site to the local Lenni-Lenape, serving as a centuries-old gathering place for sachems from Indigenous tribes to meet for council. Enjoy hands-on activities, and maybe even get embroiled in a friendly neighborhood debate about the war with Great Britain. Activities stretch out across the museum’s outdoor plaza and are free and open to the public.

The first full month of fall means the wait is finally over for Sixers basketbal season to kick into high gear, with the one-and-only LeBron James making his Philadelphia debut this October. 

Sure, hardcourt stars from Julius Erving to Joel Embiid have been exciting crowds at the South Philadelphia Sports Complex for decades, but there’s nothing quite like that first home game of the season, when hopes are sky-high that our trust in the process might just bring home a championship trophy.
