Witness captivating fountain shows with 750 water jets dancing to holiday music at the Open Air Theatre, with shows running throughout the day and evening hours. 

Pass by more than 100 illuminated trees and sculptures, wrapping the landscape in a warm, holiday glow. The 200-foot-long, walk-through illuminated Meadow Tunnel is a must-see favorite spot to snap some pics.

More highlights include the Garden Railway’s G-scale model trains decked out for the holidays (complete with miniature Longwood landmarks), and carolers and musicians filling the gardens with holiday music and cheer em noites selecionadas.

Fountain shows run daily (weather permitting), starting at 10:15 a.m. each morning at the Open Air Theatre, with shows every 15 minutes after noon. Main Fountain Garden light shows start at 2 p.m. daily.

What’s the indoor experience like at A Longwood Christmas? 

A step inside the visitor center begins your out-of-this-world experience, as you’re greeted with immersive images from the Hubble and James Webb telescopes.

Breathe in the sweet smells of thousands of poinsettias, paperwhites and amaryllis as you explore the East Conservatory’s Exhibition Hall — all lit up with Moravian stars and white orchids. While in the West Conservatory, you’ll find floating orbs of white light surrounded by a waterfall of cascading leaves.

The Music Room transforms into an observatory, complete with floor-to-ceiling cosmic imagery and astronomy instruments like Pierre S. du Pont’s 1923 Porter Garden Telescope.

What’s new at A Longwood Christmas this year?

Other new-for-2026 highlights include: 

• an illuminated path with half-moon, twinkling arches leading to the meadow tunnel;
• treehouses themed around the sun, the stars, nebulae and supernovae;
• massive illuminated stars on the attraction’s lake;
• a Victory Brewing Company pomegranate ginger winter wheat ale, brewed with ginger fresh-grown at Longwood;
• a coffee and cocoa pop-up stand in the East Conservatory;
• an outdoor, pop-up gift shop in the Topiary Garden; and
• starry lantern lights in the Waterlily Court.

Posso comer alguma coisa no A Longwood Christmas?

On select dates, the Fountain Room features a curated Sabor do Natal menu with tons of local flavors (like Kennett Square mushroom soup). Reservations are required in addition to garden admission.

Over at the upscale 1906, hungry holiday-goers can feast on a three- or four-course preço fixo menu (advanced reservations required) or a la carte options for walk-ins at the restaurant’s bar and lounge. 

The attraction’s cafe and beer garden offer seasonal bites plus hot cocoa and tasty treats.

The attraction’s normal popularity ramps up for the holidays, so é necessário ter ingressos com horário marcado, with discounted youth admission available. Children 4 and under enter free.

Keep in mind that this holiday celebration takes place both indoors and outdoors, so be sure to bundle up. Note that no reentry is allowed after entering the gardens, but admitted ticketholders can stay until close — no matter what time they enter.
