The Monto is the newest collaboration from industry veterans Fergus Carey and Jim McNamara. Housed inside the former Mac’s Tavern space in Old City, this Irish pub has quickly become a go-to watering hole for watching the English Premier League while quaffing a proper pint of Guinness.
The Monto cheekily draws its name from a popular Dubliners song from the 1960s. The lyrics — take her up to Monto, lan-ge-roo — set the mood, but the Saúde vibe keeps the regulars coming back for more.
