Summerfest is the launch site for the post-concert fireworks, so there’s no closer-up view of the pyrotechnics. Come early for fest fun and music, then stick around for the display skyward right above you.

Located at Pier 53, the eco-friendly Washington Avenue Pier and adjacent Washington Avenue Green offer gorgeous panoramas of the Philadelphia skyline and across the river from the 550-foot jetty. Take the short tree-lined path out to the pierhead for a stunning vista up the river toward the fireworks display.

Get there early enough to snag a spot on the south side elevated boardwalk or up the 16-foot spiral staircase, part of a 55-foot-tall public art sculpture called Landboei.

De zeven hectare open groene ruimte en picknickplaatsen bij Penn Treaty Park provide a great vantage point to watch the fireworks show south of the park. Established in Fishtown in 1894, the historic park features a statue of William Penn, open green space, and hiking and dog-walking trails.

There’s guaranteed to be a crowd, but the expansive open lawn offers a great spot to plop down a blanket or a lawn chair to enjoy the pyrotechnics.

Attractie bij warm weer Havenpark Spruce Street on the Delaware River waterfront features a bevy of summery activities, a boardwalk with concessions, a beer garden, giant board games and plenty of spaces to chill.

Stroll through the waterfront oasis or find a vacant hammock to lounge in and enjoy the waterfront breeze. If you can get there early enough, grab a comfy viewing seat in one of the basin’s north-facing waterside Adirondack chairs or flat-bottomed net lounges above the river.

Keep the party going until the fireworks light the night sky around 9:30 p.m. Attached to the Independence Seaport Museum, Liberty Point offers 25,000 square feet of outdoor seating with stellar views.
