The shop (Beard Papa’s 578th overall) is known for its cream-filled eclairs, and offers crowd-pleasing flavor bombs like the vanilla bean, Oreo cookie crumble, strawberry and chocolate eclairs, along with limited-time seasonal flavs like sakura-matcha and ube.

The thin and airy pastries stand out due to their pie crust bottoms and delicately sweet custard fillings (made fresh on site), and visitors can expect more flavors added to the menu as operations ramp up.

This brand-new steakhouse em Northern Liberties sports a sophisticated menu, classy decor, and global inspirations spanning Italy, Asia and the Mediterranean. The elevated food offerings riff on beloved favorites and add a few surprises into the mix, with items like Japanese-inspired lemon chicken parm sandwiches, wood-fired whole branzino, wagyu hot dogs with gruyère and ice cream sundaes (just because).

Spring break, woo hoo! Philly cranks up the fun with a whole host of limited-time family events and activities at some of the city’s biggest attractions.

This week, experience immersive storytelling and interactive fun during The Great Escape em Eastern State Penitentiary (through Sunday); dive into special nautical crafts no Independence Seaport Museum (Monday through Friday); or watch live theater bring history to life no Museum of the American Revolution (through April 12, 2026).

Spring break activities are included with general admission to each attraction.

When the bats get crackin’, you know it’s hittin’ season. The Fightin’ Phils are back for another week at Citizens Bank Park — this time against National League East rivals the Washington Nationals.

The starting lineup of the three-game stretch features Trea Turner, Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper — and marks the return of Phillies all-star pitcher Andrew Painter on Tuesday.

Can’t decide which night to go? Tuesday is another buy-one-get-one hot dog night (translation: get those glizzies), and Wednesday is School Spirit Night (rah, rah, sis boom bah!).

The hall is alive with The Sound of Music. The live musical version of one of the most cherished movies of all time kicks off a short run at Philly’s iconic Academia de Música esta semana.

Set in 1930s Austria, the story follows nun Maria and her musical musings with the von Trapp family. The story of love and resilience features the classic score from Rodgers and Hammerstein, now reinvisioned for the stage.

When the City of Philadelphia proposed that a potentially disruptive new sports arena be developed right next to Chinatown, a grassroots movement of local community members banded together to remind everyone about the importance of protecting the city’s cultural heritage.

No Arena: Making a Movement captures stories of the people, moments and strategies that made the movement possible through archival documents, audio installations, and a schedule of programs and events — each exploring lessons learned and visions for preserving Chinatown’s history.

Here are some of the city’s top jazz events this week:

• Kick-off Celebration: Philly Jazz Month 2026 at City Hall: Start Philly Jazz Month on a high note inside City Hall com this lively kick-off event. Featuring welcoming remarks, smooth sounds, light bites and a splash of wine, the event honors Philly’s jazz legacy — this month and beyond (Tuesday).
• Various shows at Chris’ Jazz Cafe and SOUTH: Café Jazz do Chris e Restaurante e clube de jazz SOUTH are two of the hottest jazz spots in the city — and you catch live performances most of the week at each venue (with a nice dinner to boot). Chris’ heats things up with a full lineup of sets this week (Tuesday through Saturday), while SOUTH takes us home with a few end-of-week shows (Thursday through Sunday).
• East Passyunk Jazz Crawl: East Passy gets brassy with a big lineup of performers for its second annual Jazz Crawl. Wander from spot to spot as free live sets spill out of local shops all afternoon — like one big ol’ jazz playground. Plus, stick around for Lindy Hop dancing and performances by popular local artists on the main stage (Saturday).
• Free First Sunday Family Day: Philly Jazz Month at the Barnes Foundation: O Barnes Foundation takes its Free First Sunday series — featuring art, music and family fun — and gives it a jazzy twist this month. Catch rising stars Equinox as they bring fresh energy to classic sounds, then explore hands-on activities and gallery treasures (Sunday).

Two of Philly’s historic heavyweights, Stenton e Wyck, reopen for tours in Germantown this week (by appointment only), each offering distinct windows into Philly’s past.

Stenton, a 300-year-old mansion and former plantation, explores the complexities of abolitionist history through art, artifacts and stories. The estate is known for its preserved 2,700-volume library — once used by revolutionaries like Benjamin Franklin — and its memorials to the enslaved people who once lived there (opens Wednesday).

Just down the road, Wyck — a 2.5-acre National Historic Landmark first conceived in 1690 — offers a gentler stroll back in time. The site is home to antique-filled outbuildings, a working urban farm and the oldest unmodified rose garden in America, including some roses found nowhere else in the world: the Elegant Gallica and the Lafayette Rose (opens Thursday).

Walnut Garden is back for another season of sips and sunshine in Rittenhouse Square.

The lively outdoor beer garden sports two full-service bars (Garden Bar and Tent Bar), a dedicated draft trailer (with beer, wine and cocktails), and a kitchen trailer slinging plenty of crowdpleasers a la chicken tenders, cheesesteaks and hot dogs. Plus, kiddos can hang out on the wooden Jeep and slide in the children’s garden area, and leashed pups are welcome anytime.

Walnut Garden is open daily until New Year’s Eve.

Spring into wellness at the Penn Museum, when it transforms its gardens and galleries into a sanctuary of self-care during Recarga da mente e do humor, parte da popular série First Wednesdays (Primeiras quartas-feiras) do museu.

The Academy of Natural Sciences celebrates Earth Month with the Confluence: Film Festival, its third annual film fest dedicated to all things environmental.

The festival showcases films — all focusing on this year’s festival theme of “Seeding the Future” — from regional filmmakers that explore the climate crisis, sustainability and justice. Things kick off with an opening night party this Thursday, featuring live music, film screenings, and pay-as-you-go food and drinks in Dino Hall.

Confluence was developed in partnership with BlackStar Projects, cinéSPEAK, the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival and the Philadelphia Latino Arts & Film Festival. Ingressos are required, and discounted four-day packages are available.

This beloved culinary treasure returns to the heart of South Philly’s FDR Park, ushering in outdoor market season. You know what spring means: It’s palooza season. Bring the littles over to Smith Memorial Playground for a fun and interactive day of games, snacks, hands-on activities, live entertainment and more.

The massive playground offers nature exploration, plenty of playground equipment and climbables, and, of course, its iconic 12-foot-wide, 60-foot-long wooden slide. The event is completely free to attend, but you can register in advance aqui. Complimentary snacks are up for grabs, courtesy of Herr’s, with additional refreshments available for purchase.

Wicker baskets at the ready: The Easter Bunny is popping up all around Greater Philly this weekend, with colorful eggs a-plenty:

• Easter at the Philadelphia Zoo: The residents of the Philadelphia Zoo host an extra special guest this Easter season and a slate of holiday-themed activities, including a caça ao tesouro highlighting animals across the zoo (through Sunday, April 12), a traditional easter egg hunt (Friday through Sunday) and a magical brunch with the head bunny as the guest of honor (Sunday).

• Easter at Elmwood Park Zoo: Easter eggs filled with tasty treats are popping up all around this popular Norristown attraction — and it’s up to your little ones to find them. Free with zoo admission, Elmwood Park Zoo’s easter egg hunt is open to kids ages 2 through 10 (Sunday).

Visitantes do National Constitution Center agora podem experimentar o tão aguardado A fundação dos Estados Unidos que oferece instantâneos de alta tecnologia da América Revolucionária em detalhes dramáticos.

A nova galeria permanente conta a história de como os primeiros americanos lutaram pela independência, criaram a Constituição dos EUA, redigiram a Declaração de Direitos e, por fim, lançaram as bases da nossa democracia. Os visitantes podem explorar corredores imersivos, interagir com instalações táteis, assistir a vídeos envolventes e ver artefatos da vida real.

Além de outros artefatos, o novo espaço inclui uma cópia original (!) da Constituição dos EUA - uma das 14 ainda existentes - que ficará em exibição até 2026, juntamente com as raras primeiras impressões de 17 emendas constitucionais.

O trabalho da figurinista Ruth E. Carter, duas vezes vencedora do Oscar, ocupa o centro do palco no African American Museum in Philadelphiada última exposição, Afrofuturismo no design de figurinosque explora como as imagens dos figurinos desenhados à mão por Carter ajudaram a definir personagens icônicos do cinema.

A exposição modular, que apresenta elementos interativos, exibe trajes premiados e artefatos da estimada carreira de Carter, incluindo um raro vislumbre dos esboços pessoais do artista e trajes da coleção particular de Carter.

Carter - também conhecido como a mulher negra mais indicada na história do Oscar - ganhou o Oscar por seus figurinos para o filme Pantera Negra filmes e é a primeira mulher negra a ganhar vários prêmios da Academia em qualquer categoria.

Buscando “representar as pessoas ao seu redor”, Noah Davis passou sua carreira capturando as intriphilamuseum.org/exhibitions/noah-daviscacies e a beleza da vida negra cotidiana em Los Angeles.

Embora fosse conhecido por suas pinturas visualmente interessantes, muitas vezes oníricas, que exploravam política, raça, mitologia e muito mais, a prática de Davis incluía coleta de fotografias, trabalho experimental de escultura, colagem e criação de sites e, por fim, a abertura de seu próprio museu.

Isso retrospectiva histórica presta homenagem a toda a amplitude da vida e da obra do aclamado artista. Depois de passar por Los Angeles, Alemanha e Inglaterra, a incrível coleção de mais de 60 peças chega à Philadelphia Museum of Art.

As cores e fragrâncias familiares da estação estão prontas para serem experimentadas durante a Flores da Primavera que oferece oportunidades de apreciar os bulbos do início da primavera, as flores vibrantes de tulipas aromáticas, as adoradas glicínias, as árvores floridas e muito mais na atração de mil acres de renome mundial.

O tranquilo oásis botânico de Pierre du Pont exibe cerca de 10.000 variedades em suas áreas internas e externas. Os ingressos com horário marcado custam necessário.

As menores criaturas ganham vida nos icônicos livros infantis de Eric Carle, como A Lagarta Comilona. As ilustrações dessas Pequenos seres vivos ocupam o centro do palco no Museu de Arte Michener’que apresenta a arte do autor-ilustrador.

Inaugurada no Dia dos Namorados, a exposição no Doylestown O museu apresenta arte original de títulos adorados de Carle, como: O Grilo Muito Quieto, A aranha muito ocupada e Urso marrom, urso marrom, o que você está vendo? Os visitantes também têm a oportunidade de ver os primeiros esboços de Carle, além de dar uma olhada no processo do artista.

Quando o mundo tentou apagá-los, seu trabalho e seus temas, esses artistas baseados no Philly reivindicaram seu espaço - em seus próprios termos, por meio de seu próprio trabalho.

Desdobrando-se não em um, mas em dois museus Philly - Woodmere e o Academia de Belas Artes da Pensilvânia - Corpos e almas explora como o trabalho dos artistas afirmou as complexidades da experiência humana, abordando gênero, sexualidade, relacionamentos e muito mais; cultivou a compaixão; e imaginou um mundo melhor.

A poderosa exposição apresenta mais de 130 pinturas, desenhos e esculturas de artistas como Barbara Bullock e Marta Sanchez, e da coleção dos colecionadores de arte da Filadélfia Robert e Frances Coulborn Kohler.

Combinando artefatos históricos feitos pelos Shakers diretamente da Testamento de Ann Lee com obras de arte contemporânea inspiradas na comunidade, esta nova exposição no Instituto de Arte Contemporânea explora como o grupo desenvolveu uma linguagem visual distinta, marcada pela simplicidade, inovação e propósito.
