One of Philly’s worst-kept secrets is out: Laser Wolf has officially been recognized as one of the best restaurants in the world.

The wildly popular Israeli skewer house, which opened in February 2020 just before COVID-19 upended the restaurant industry, is one of 69 restaurants across the globe on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2021 Hot List — a collection of hotels, destinations and restaurants everyone should have on their bucket list this year.

Laser Wolf is part of the CookNSolo restaurant portfolio, which has racked up numerous James Beard Award honors for spots like Zahav and Abe Fisher. The restaurant served customers over the past year through delivery and takeout and an outdoor dining streetery before reopening its indoor dining room last month.

And anyone who’s tried to get a table at the Kensington grill can tell you: There’s always a wait.

CookNSolo’s signature hummus and pita combos are a major draw for diners, and Philly-based food writer Drew Lazor encourages Hot List readers to try the salatim, Romanian-style beef kebab, tamarind-slathered trout and charred eggplant.

The latest accolade from Condé Nast Traveler is one of many nods to the City of Brotherly Love as a top destination for 2021. Philly’s incredible food scene, historic attractions and dynamic neighborhoods have caught the attention of Esquire, Frommer’s, Travel + Leisure and more.

Laser Wolf is currently open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday for indoor and outdoor dining, and delivery and takeout are still available. As noted above, reservations are strongly recommended.
