What’s Unrivaled?

WNBA players Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier founded Unrivaled in 2023 to give top players a new option for offseason play.

After a successful first season of play in Miami, the league has decided to hit the road.

First stop: Philadelphia.

What Can I Expect at the Unrivaled Games?

Four clubs participate in Unrivaled’s standard style, which consists of 3-on-3, compressed full-court play.

The four basketball clubs competing in Unrivaled’s Philly debut are: the Breeze, the Phantom, the Rose and the Lunar Owls. Game One pits the Breeze club against the Phantoms (7:30 p.m.), while the second game features last year’s champion Rose club against the Lunar Owls (8:45 p.m.).

There are three 7-minute quarters with a game clock and a shot clock.

The fourth quarter uses a “winning score” rule, where, at the end of the third quarter, officials determine a winning score by adding 11 points to the leading team’s score.

The first team to get to that winning number wins.

The games in Philly promise heart-pounding action featuring some of the top female pro basketball players in the country, including:

  • Unrivaled’s number one draft pick and 2025 NCAA national champ Paige Bueckers as she and her powerhouse Breeze teammates take on Phantom’s top-ranked players, including Tiffany Hayes and Aliyah Boston in Game One; and
  • Current top player, Unrivaled champion and WNBA champ Chelsea Gray as she leads the Rose club against top-ranked Aaliyah Edwards and Marina Mabrey of the Lunar Owls (whose Unrivaled co-founder Napheesa Collier sits out the game as she recovers from double ankle surgery).

How Can I Watch the Game?

The four participating clubs for Unrivaled in Philly will be announced when the league releases its schedule in November 2025.

Tickets for this history-making matchup are on sale now and start around $110. Stateside Live! has also partnered with the league and Miller Lite to offer watch parties to get the crowds ready for the debut game.

Tap into league action for a watch party on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. to get a sneak peek at what to expect when the pro players come to town. Then, pre-game at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Stateside Live! before heading to the arena.
