Havenpark Spruce Street has served as a Delaware River waterfront oasis since 2014. A West Philly tradition celebrating 21 years, the Bard takes center (outdoor) stage as Shakespeare in Clark Park Presents: Hamlet this summer. The free professional productions begin at 7 p.m. each night inside “the Bowl.”

When the Prince of Denmark heads home to mourn his dad’s sudden death, he finds mom married to Uncle Claudius, who has since declared himself king. Madness ensues, as does lots of swordplay. Spoiler alert: Things don’t end well for dear Hamlet in the beloved tragedy.
